Adult Individual Psychotherapy
People are incredibly resourceful. We use our unique and internal strengths to cope with and make the best out of the situations we are in. As we grow and develop, the very tools that once helped us cope can become outdated and limiting. As a therapist, I’ve worked with bright, savvy, creative, smart, and successful people. I’ve worked with people who are, in a literal sense, smarter than me. However, the thing that they all have in common is that they are needing some essential things from someone other than themselves in order to reach their fullest potential.
In my role as therapist, I partner with people actively and enthusiastically and work to understand the root of their stuckness and pain. Together, we create a connection that is unique to us and use that secure base to explore, reevaluate, and disrupt how they are doing life. I bring a humanity and compassion to my work, in addition to the true joy that I feel in having the privilege of getting to know people intimately and impact them in a positive way. I bring a neutral and non judgmental attitude to my work but also will be direct when I see concerning things or ways that people are doing something that is working against them. Just as empathy and understanding is loving, so is honesty and directness.
